Through the Client Engagement survey, SCORE tracks the successful client outcomes back to the volunteer of that client. The nationwide survey includes nearly 50,000 client responses over three years. A “successful client outcome” from this survey is counted as the total of the number of new businesses plus the total of all the jobs created within all businesses. Any volunteer with a total of 500-1,499 new businesses started and positions created receives the Captain of Industry Award.

Two local Santa Cruz County SCORE Volunteers, Al Carman, and Michael Sarka, both long-term volunteers with Santa Cruz county SCORE, recently received this prestigious award.
